I wake
the phone's ringing
it's not for me
it's not my 'phone.
It's for him
it's his mobile thing!
He's outside
in the night
in the wet.
'Yeah, yeah, right!
Yeah, yeah, check!'

but we've never met.

Hi there, this is a little something I wrote way back in 1995 when cell phones were still in their infancy and the only people who had them in this little bit of bohemia were the people who sold the drugs on the street outside.
